Biography

Dr William Davies B.Sc., Ph.D., A.F.B.Ps.S., C.Psychol. is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Academic Director of the Association for Psychological Therapies. Previously, he was a Consultant Psychologist and Head of Psychology at St Andrew’s Hospital, Northampton, a national resource for difficult to manage patients.

He is the author of ' The RAID Manual', 'A Cognitive Approach to Working with Offenders', 'Overcoming Anger and Irritability', 'Overcoming Anger and Irritability: The Clinician's Guide' and co-author of 'Preventing Face-to-Face Violence: Dealing with Anger and Aggression at Work'.

Dr Davies was heavily involved in helping survivors of the Piper Alpha oil-rig disaster, and maintains an out-patient clinic for people suffering from depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
